Oh, Mrs. Greene. I hadn't seen this one. It's so beautiful and so different from all your others. I guess you don't normally put a full vase of flowers in you paintings. I really like it. :-)
My desire is to enjoy God's creation while I paint. When painting fruit or flowers I notice how quickly things start to wither and fade. It is a clear reminder of the frailty of life. How a flower in a vase might change it's positon by turning or even dropping a petal. "Praise God", He never changes! His promises are true and sure. This perspective gives me an even greater admiration for my Creator and His beautiful creation.
I prefer to paint from "Still Life." It encourages me to finish a painting more quickly. I also take pictures to see how I am progressing or where I need to make improvements or corrections.
In my yard, I have many varieties of flowering trees and shrubs to choose from as subjects to paint. There is usually something blooming year round! I hope to capture "some" of what I see in my paintings and share with others.
