Hey Michele!
We (Sandra, Traci and Nancy) so enjoyed looking through your paintings! We loved them all...what beautiful work. Thanks for sharing it with us. Love, Us
I was able to visit the Muse'Dorsey in Paris France this past Spring. I saw this Monet in person. We were not able to take pictures. I was in AWWWWWW! I purposely painted mine on a canvas almost the exact size as the Monet. The colors are much brighter in person than I have seen in books. The water is not as purple as mine but bright blue! I plan to try painting more Monet's for fun. I used to make fun of his work as if anyone could do that! Well, then I tried, he was an amazing artist. Seeing some of his paintings in person was a highlight of our trip.
My desire is to enjoy God's creation while I paint. When painting fruit or flowers I notice how quickly things start to wither and fade. It is a clear reminder of the frailty of life. How a flower in a vase might change it's positon by turning or even dropping a petal. "Praise God", He never changes! His promises are true and sure. This perspective gives me an even greater admiration for my Creator and His beautiful creation.
I prefer to paint from "Still Life." It encourages me to finish a painting more quickly. I also take pictures to see how I am progressing or where I need to make improvements or corrections.
In my yard, I have many varieties of flowering trees and shrubs to choose from as subjects to paint. There is usually something blooming year round! I hope to capture "some" of what I see in my paintings and share with others.
Because of Christ, michele greene
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
